As many of you have heard, last week, while our staff was at a local church service, the compound where our Kisumu CARE for AIDS office and where Cornel and his family live was broken into. During the break-in, the intruders took four of the CARE for AIDS laptops as well as a staff member’s personal laptop. We are so lucky that nobody was harmed and that the staff members were all out of the office when the break-in occurred.
We are saddened by this incident, and we pray both for safety and peace of mind for our staff as they increase security measures and deal with the aftermath of such an aggressive break-in.
Situations like this are difficult emotionally as well as financially, and we are humbly calling on our community in the US to help us raise funds to replace the laptops that were stolen. In order to do so, we are trying to raise $2,000 before March 5th so that we can deliver the replacements on our March Impact Trip.
We are humbled and grateful for your support as we move forward in our ministry! Please pray with us for safety in Kisumu as the staff returns to their normal routine.
