The Mwauras

Michael and his family look toward the future and see hope and joy, but this was not always the case. When Michael and his wife found that they were both HIV+ they feared the future- they were sure they would die and leave all of their children as orphans.

Michael graduated from the CARE for AIDS program in 2013, and often returns to the CARE for AIDS center to teach current clients marketable skills like sandal making and bead making. He can provide for his family, and he and his wife have been empowered to live long, healthy lives.

I now have the strength to face tomorrow.
